Relocation Coordinator and Office Manager, Cynthia Arvidson, has spent many years living and working in Taos. Born in Minnesota and raised in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex, Cynthia was recruited to Taos as a partner in a residential construction firm building spec houses from SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels). Known for her organizational and interpersonal communication skills, Cynthia thrives on learning and streamlining processes to make work flow smoother for everyone. She understands the art of negotiation. She puts her critical thinking and problem solving talents to use along with her attention to detail and thoroughness in managing transactions for our Brokers.
Cynthia serves on the Board of New Beginnings Taos and has supported her community by serving on the Board of New Life Pregnancy Center, volunteering for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and teaching computer skills in an outreach program. The incredible beauty, blue skies, and four distinct seasons of Taos have hooked Cynthia. She particularly appreciates the clean air, dry climate and absence of bugs. Sharing this place by helping people find their property is a natural extension of her spirit.
Before joining High Country Real Estate Services, Cynthia served 11 years as the Executive Director for the local non-profit, Habitat for Humanity of Taos, which includes the Habitat Taos ReStore. Prior to her arrival in Taos, Cynthia served an award winning 22 year career with GTE/Verizon where she excelled in customer service, logistics, project management and IT services.
When Cynthia isn’t working for property owners, she enjoys traveling, especially to an ocean where she finds rest and peace. She loves animals, photography, and hiking in nature. Sharing a meal or coffee with friends is a frequent occurrence. Word has it she’s pretty funny. Cynthia speaks English and Texan.
