LeadingRE Taos broker Irene Cordova is a licensed REALTOR® and New Mexico real estate Associate Broker. Clients know her as a compassionate, detail oriented, person of integrity. She finds her career satisfaction in putting those attributes to work helping her clients meet their real estate goals.
Irene worked as a real estate agent in Los Angeles, California prior to returning to her home state of New Mexico. The Taos community knows Irene as an entrepreneur who has been deeply involved with local businesses providing medical billing, insurance claim processing, and office management consulting services. Irene started the first New Mexico Parent Teacher Student Association, affiliated with the National PTA, in the Taos Municipal School System. This was designed to increase parent participation in the schools and to help increase student success. Irene is an advocate for youth and believes it is our community’s responsibility to provide a safe place for young people to voice their opinions and have input in planning their future and the future of their communities.
A wife, and mother of three, Irene currently lives on a 10 acre family ranch in the valley of Vadito and enjoys gardening, hiking, and family time. She strives to grow her community in a positive, sustainable, and healthy way. Her love of animals includes her old grey cat, old tuxedo cat, old red heeler, Great Pyrenees and black thoroughbred. Her idea of fun is working in her garden and hiking the Sangre de Cristos with her family.
